For the second year in a row Suomy celebrates Pecco Bagnaia‘s extraordinary 2023 MotoGP World Championship victory by presenting the LIMITED EDITION replica of the gold helmet worn at the Valencia Grand Prix on November 26th by the reigning World Champion!

The design of the wonderful graphic of the gold S1-XR GP helmet worn by Pecco is once again the result of the collaboration between VR46 and Starline.

S1-XR GP PECCO W.C. 2023 GOLD L.E. will be produced in a limited edition of 1123 pieces, a significant number that allows to reconstruct and celebrate all the successes achieved by Pecco in his career:

• Number 11 represents the month of November, which saw our Suomy rider become World Champion at the Ricardo Tormo circuit;
• 2 stands for the number of World Championships won by Pecco in the premier class of MotoGP, the first in 2022 and the second in 2023;
• Number 3 symbolizes the number of World Championships won in total by our World Champion, of which two in MotoGP (2022-2023) and one in Moto2 (2018).

The replica will be produced in gold metal colour and will have a special packaging consisting of: helmet box, bag and numbered and packaged plate.

The Suomy S1-XR GP helmet is available in the following sizes:

• S: 55–56 cm head circumference
• M: 57–58 cm head circumference
• L: 59–60 cm head circumference
• XL: 61–62 cm head circumference

Shell

The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that allows to obtain a lighter, but at the same time a harder and more protective shell.

The new composite is a mixture of carbon with different weight/breaking loads linked up with fiberglass and aramidic fibers that ensure a lighter, but much more resistant-to-impacts shell.

To satisfy even the most exigent customers, S1-XR GP is produced in three different shells: S, M and L.

Protective Polystyrene

Internal polystyrene liner is realized in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) to obtain a better ergonomics and a variable density. This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact.

Even if the bigger part of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the residual power.

A different density of the polystyrene allows optimizing the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet as requested by FIM normative.

Visor

The visor is made of injected anti-scratch polycarbonate with variable thickness.

It is easy to remove thanks to a system that doesn't require any tools. The release lever is made of a special light alloy that gives the assembly greater strength.

The visor is also equipped with a "Racing Lock System" mechanism in light alloy. This mechanism reduces the possibility of detachment in the event of a crash and makes the system more intuitive.

The S1-XR GP is prepared for racing tear-offs.

Pinlock

S1-XR GP is prepared and equipped with PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120, the most performing antifog system in the market.

Ventilation

It is during the hottest Grand Prix that the most is asked to the rider, requiring concentration and endurance. Being able to count on efficient ventilation makes all the difference.

S1-XR GP spots seven air intake ducts which work in conjunction with a neatly integrated channel system, guaranteeing excellent airflow inside the helmet.

The hot air extraction is a marvel of aerodynamics: two submerged air extractors, working together with the rear spoiler create a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports, to draw out the hot air.

Inners

The cheek pads and the internal comfort can be removed, washed and replaced. They are made of precious Hydrocool fabric with specific fibers that offer the following features:

• Send away sweat from the head
• Keep fresh and dry
• Light fabric, soft and breathable

Cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick release system.

S1-XR GP is prepared for the camel-bag system.

Retention System

The chin is provided with DD-rings retention system enabling an easy release of the retain system.
